Game-like Visualization

Developed at Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Türkiye, the eNOVATION game-like visualization module (Task 6.6) can be used to represent CBRN scenarios using ontology-based entities and interactions. The module uses the Unity game engine to map ontology classes, such as first responders and chemical incidents, to game objects that can be placed and observed within the scenario environment. These agents follow specific behaviours and respond to changes according to the scenario state. During the simulation, users can inspect individual entities and follow scenario progression through the simulation controls and event log. They can also modify the scenarios to observe different outcomes. The scenarios will additionally be able to be securely stored and shared through blockchain technology. The overall goal of the visualization module is to provide a more intuitive and interactive way of representing and exploring CBRN scenarios in a game-like environment.
